Rubber lining sheets are typically available in thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 6 mm. The material is primarily composed of rubber compounds and may incorporate reinforcing materials such as fabric or metal inserts depending on service conditions. The sheets are manufactured through calendaring or extrusion processes, followed by vulcanization using either platen vulcanizing presses or continuous drum vulcanization systems. Rubber lining systems provide excellent mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance, and represent a mature, economical and reliable protection system widely used for the corrosion and seepage protection of steel structures, concrete equipment and brick-lined vessels.
Acid-resistant brick and tile linings offer high resistance to acids and alkalis, low water absorption, good stability at ambient temperature and low risk of contamination from process media. Except for special services involving hydrofluoric acid or hot phosphoric acid, the lining system provides excellent corrosion resistance against warm chloride brines, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and alkaline media at room temperature. When used together with selected jointing mortars, the system delivers high bonding strength, good heat resistance and strong impermeability, while also resisting corrosion from many organic solvents. It is an ideal acid- and alkali-resistant lining solution for demanding applications where epoxy, phenolic or unsaturated polyester resin systems may not be suitable.
HLP select high-quality PPH, HDPE, PVDF and other thermoplastic materials to fabricate acid and alkali storage tanks, agitators, process columns and tower equipment, pickling tanks and tank covers, acid and alkali circulation tanks, mist eliminators, filters, customized process equipment, piping systems and fittings.
HLP coating systems can be applied by conventional air spray or airless spray processes. which cure at ambient temperature and provide resistance to water, oil, salt spray, humidity, heat and corrosive media. These systems are widely used for flue-gas duct coatings in power plants, internal and external corrosion protection of pressure vessels, and external corrosion protection of packaged or assembled equipment.
